Additionally, performing collections at your location helps to reduce downtime, leading to increased productivity.

FDAT also partners with more than 300 locations nationwide where we can offer quick and complete collection services in a controlled, compliant environment. Our collection locations are dedicated solely to the task of specimen collections unlike clinics or urgent care facilities. Because our locations do not offer any heath related services waiting times are dramatically shortened and your employees do not get exposed to the potential illnesses that they may encounter otherwise.

Rapid On-Site Testing

Rapid On-site Testing, also referred to as Point-of-Collection Testing (POCT), provides instant on-site screening for drugs of abuse while still adhering to chain of custody protocols. Through FDAT partnerships with multiple SAMHSA certified laboratories we can also offer GC/MS confirmation for non-negative Rapid On-site Test drug screens.

The Rapid On-site Test process involves the collector running an initial screen on-site at the point of collection. Initial screening results are recorded on an Initial POCT Information Sheet which is then entered into our Drug Testing Management Software and forwarded to the appropriate party. Initial screenings resulting in a non-negative result are transferred to the necessary chain of custody form and sent to a SAMHSA certified lab for GC/MS confirmation when required.

Rapid on-site Testing Features:

  • Negative results are available almost immediately

  • GC/MS confirmation of non-negative specimens at SAMHSA certified laboratories.

  • Multiple urine drug screening panels available

  • Walk-in rapid test collections are welcomed at most locations

Alcohol Testing

Saliva Alcohol Testing

Alcohol related fatalities accounted for over 30% of all highway fatalities in 2012. It's been reported that alcohol and drug abuse costs the American economy more than $300 billion per year in lost productivity, health care expenditures, crime, motor vehicle crashes, and other conditions.

FDAT offers instant saliva alcohol testing out of its corporate office and can arrange for collections at more than 1600 sites nationwide. These tests are performed on-site by certified collectors to obtain an immediate result. All devices conform to DOT specifications for screening devices that measure alcohol in bodily fluids. In the event of a positive screening test, the DOT required breath alcohol confirmation test can typically be performed at the same location after a mandatory 15 minute waiting period.

FDAT can fully customize a saliva alcohol testing program to meet your pre-employment, random, or post-accident/emergency testing needs.

BREATH ALCOHOL TESTING

Alcohol related fatalities accounted for over 30% of all highway fatalities in 2012. It's been reported that alcohol and drug abuse costs the American economy more than $300 billion per year in lost productivity, health care expenditures, crime, motor vehicle crashes, and other conditions.

Breath Alcohol Tests must be performed randomly, for post-accident incidents, and in the case of a reasonable suspicion of employees occupying safety-sensative positions as outlined by the U.S. Department of Transportation. When it comes to conducting a Breath Alcohol Test, FDAT utilizes state of the art, NHTSA approved, Evidential Breath Testing (EBT) equipment, the Intoximeter Alco-Sensor Vxl.

All Breath Alcohol Tests are performed only by Breath Alcohol Technicians (BATs) certified in accordance with DOT regulations.

FDAT offers in-office testing at more than 300 collection sites nationwide. In addition, our mobile collection network allows us to bring Breath Alcohol Testing to you at your location for your convenience.

DNA Testing

FDAT is capable of providing complete and accurate DNA collections in our more than 230 partner sites. Depending on the location, we can offer either buccal swab or fresh blood for DNA paternity testing. DNA collections procedures for legal purposes can vary state to state. Our partner locations are highly trained in the requirements of their particular state and as such observe strict Chain of Custody protocols for these collections. We are also able to provide non-binding, independent testing.

Because of the sensitive nature of DNA paternity testing, FDAT and our partners go to great lengths to ensure complete donor confidentiality. Most samples are collected within 24 to 48 hours of a request with a fast and accurate turnaround.
